Randy
Thomas was born and raised in Fort Erie Ontario Canada. He has been
in the music scene for the past 13 years as a one man band. Live performances
ranging from night clubs, festivals, weddings, senior homes, lounges
in the Niagara Peninsula. His musical style ranging from the 50's
& 60's, Rock a Billy, Rock n' Roll, Traditional Country, and New
Country. All combined he has developed an effective sound of commercial
appeal musically, and lyrically that his audience has come to relate
to. Writing influences to name a few, Roy Orbison, Marty Stuart, Dwight
Yoakam, John Denver, BeeGee's, Jim Croce, Rodney Crowell.
Randy knew the world of music was calling him when he started singing
at a young age, entertaining friends and families in the neighborhood
with his rendition of Elvis, leaving the cars, and motor cycles to
his older brothers. Randy studied music at Mohawk Collage in Hamilton
Ontario, and further his craft for song writing by attending song
writing work shops in Toronto put on by Songwriters Of Association
Of Composers, and Nashville Songwriters Association International.
In1995 Randy recorded his first independent CD album titles "Can't
Get Enough" that received air play in Canada, U.S., and over
Europe ( England, Holland, Germany, Denmark,). Due to that achievement
he has performed on Toronto's Breakfast Television, Rodgers Cable
T.V., and at the Nashville Palace. He also had the privilege to be
the opening act for Newfoundland's comedian, Jimmy Flynn.
The year October 2000 Randy won song writer, and International artist
award at The Best Of Texas Music Awards
In 2001 he received
Golden Note Award, Modern Country Artist, Modern Country Songwriter,
and Canadian Artist at The Best Of Texas Music Awards. He was approached
by Keith Bradford of KMA Records, in Nashville, about a recording
contract. This is what Randy really needed. This was the boost to
get him writing more songs to record.
Now, just releasing his second CD self titled "Randy Thomas"
in April 2003 produced by Keith Bradford, CEO of KMA Records and engineered
by brother Mike Bradford, he is looking for more great things to come.
Randy signed a
management deal with Violet Campbell Productions and Promotions in
2000, and all quite excited by the air play the new CD has received
already. Randy presented the music to live audiences at several venues
in the Fort Erie, Niagara Falls, and Hamilton area, as well as the
Uxport Country Music Stampede, Classic Country Music Reunion, Waterdown
Jamboree, Hansall Circle Jamboree, Trentwinds International Center
and other festivals through out the province. It has been accepted
well by all, and his songs have been on the charts all through out
Europe.
Fresh songs, a
new sound, with a distinctive voice, you can't go wrong with this
singer/songwriter.
